Hey guys,
Cleaned up my secondary and put on a new belt. My new belt sits about flush with the top of the secondary. I would like to raise the belt 1.5mm as specified in the manual. Anyone know aprox how high the belt will raise if i remove one shim from between the secondary sheaves? If someone knows it will be more than 2mm I wont bother.
Thanks
Ps. Where do u guys put the shims after u remove them?

You are gonna have to add shims to raise the belt, not remove them.

With the stock phazer you remove shims to raise the belt. The shims sit between the sheaves. Unless I'm mixed up, haven't run the phazer secondary in a few years.

You are corret, the shims sit between the secondary sheaves. It is my understanding that removing shims will bring the sheaves closer together thus raising the belt height. I think it is different on another yamaha model but not with the phazer.

My bad...I didn't realize this. I thought it was the same as the rest of the Yamahas.
Sorry sethryder for the misinformation.

No worries. So anyone have an idea of amount of belt height increase with removing a shim?
