Removing Snow build up in tunnel

Been looking around online an have heard that this stuff all but eliminates snow build up. It's a Teflon Mylar film that u can stick on. It comes from 1-125 mill thickness. The people I've heard about use the 5mil (.005"). It's running about $5 for a square foot. Anyone else have exsperiance with this?

I used a sheet of Teflon coated aluminum to block off the hole in tunnel of my Phazer. This stuff was used to make aluminum baking pans. Nothing sticks to it at all.

The question would be how well the sticky side will stay stuck? Will it be affected by water or cold?

True. Everything in tunnel goes through a ton of abuse. A good experiment might be to just buy a Non Stick cooking pan with the Teflon coating and rivet it right in the tunnel. The piece of pan I used still has all the coating on it. I believe it was a Cookie Sheet!

It's a Mylar sheet... Super sticky and Aslong as u clean an degrease the spot right it should be perfectly fine.

Has anyone tried this Never Wet stuff from Rustoleum? It looks like it has some potential.

Does look good and price is reasonable. Just wondering about the longevity of the applied coating. Could also apply it to the whole skid to keep ice and snow from sticking (except the hyfax).

Thought I heard if you paint or powder coat the tunnel it won't attract snow?

I have been seeing this advertised during my car shows and I wonder if this would help you guys. It's a spray on plastic coating that you can peel off later if you want to.

Just a quick layer but avoid the exhaust if possible as it really stinks and smokes when it burns off.

I just watched a video of this stuff on break.com. Looks pretty awesome. For $20 at home depot, I'm willing to give it a try. Here's a link to the video:

The part where he dips the toilet brush in water, and there isn't a single drip to fall of it when he pulls it out is pretty darn cool!
