I just took a peak under my new used sled and want to change the oil this weekend. I just saw that the belly pan needs to be removed for the oil change but there looks to be rivets in the bottom of the pan that dont really hold anything up. Are those plasic pins where the pan is held on? Are those covers to screws or do i pry those out with a screwdriver? Please let me know the secret there, thanks!

With the exception of a few screws it's pretty much all dart fasteners - remove the "hood" and left and right shrouds - then remove the right and left lower body panels - then the last piece is the belly pan you're talking about. A small flat end screwdriver should do the trick in popping out the center of all of these fasteners.

The rivets you're seeing on the "belly pan" are fastening metal supports on the other side of this panel in order to give the panel a certain amount of durability and strength - they do not need to come out in order to remove the "pan". Just removing the dart fasteners is all that's required.

I am not trying to hi-jack the thread, but I had the same question. Do you really need to remove the lower body panels to get the belly pan off? Thanks

No you do not need to remove the very lower panels to get it off. you can bend them down enough to slide the belly pan out. I have done it a few times.

There are 5 darts in the plate itself, the PIA one is located on the vertical plane between the lower control arm mounts. The side panels, I can't recall the number.....

I haven't measured mine but does anyone know what size they are??? I was looking at the 'darts' in the Lowes aisle the other day and didn't get any because I couldn't remember what size they are.
