Rev limiter bounce

Alright, now we're getting somewhere. Not on launch... we can rule out track spin.

Is this something new that just started happening, or has it been going on for awhile?

To me personally, it doesn't sound like hitting the rev-limiter. It sounds more like just one cylinder/sparkplug missing on occasion. Have you ever changed plugs on the sled? How many miles on it?

A bounce off a rev-limiter sounds totally different than what's in your video. The entire engine will stutter & would not only be heard very clearly, but felt with a loss of power.

If it is the rev-limiter, how many miles on your current belt? A worn belt could result in over-rev too.

I'd start with new plugs, then a new belt, & then clutching if it's still doing it after the plug & belt change.

This sled hits the rev-limiter at the 4 second mark. Totally different sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb4dqmdqgzI

thanks for the input.

couldnt be the i blew one that day and it did it on both belts.

it all started about the time i put my new y pipes an ulmer clutch in.

could be the plugs , im approaching 5500 miles and i doubt they have been changed. ill try that swell as new weights in the clutch.

thanks catman, im a cat lover aswell i drive a 950 loader for work

Ok i added 1 weight per tip and seemed to help but now if the sled sits for an hour or more an i start warm up an try to go it revs to like 7k b4 it will engage. And yes jve slamed the track diwn for ice.

Im running one large weight on heel an one small one on tip
