wondering if anyone knows if this looks correct, i pulled my reverse acuator out for the first time doing chaincase work, when i took outbthe 3 screws it slighly turned clockwise and the spacer or and detent was in this position, i reinstalled the same way, slightly preloaded counterclockwise and installed screws, everything works fine, but the way that incert " for lack of the proper term" to me dosent look correct as the detent not in a groove ? idk

This is how the reverse gear extention should look before actuator installation.the notch in the extension should be rotated approximately 20 degrees clockwise from bottom for easier installation of the actuator As shown in the number #26 assembly procedures,Then the actuator is rotated CC to line up the 3 bolts

yes i seen that pic , thats what got me thinking about it, the position my incert was in im sure was from factory like that

From my experience...when assembling the round insert into the chaincase you rotate it counter clockwise until it stops and the groove should index with the detent in the groove, if it doesn't just remove it and reinsert/index it so it does before installing the actuator.

thanks, thats what i ended up doin, i put together like that and the above pics, works all normal, that is how it totally look like it should go together , not sure why it wasnt even close to matching detent from factory? thanks for help!!

That doesn’t look correct if in forward. Pull gear out and align in indent if in forward. To be sure look in hole and use a screw driver and make sure mechanizum is slid to the left (forward). Now put gear back In lined up in indent. rotate gear slighter clockwise (not much) makes it easy to get actuator back on, shoulder be no pressure to get screws in. When you start sled it will find forward and go back in indent.
