Does it click, do you hear any noises when you try to switch, does the backup alarm go off, have you checked fuses, relays?

Two shift relays under hood up front.
One for forward and one for reverse.
I had a bad forward relay in the past and was stuck in reverse.
Pull the relays out and they are labeled underneath them.

If you want to ride tomorrow take reverse servo motor off chain case , with motor off slide tooth spline above hole to left with someone rocking secondary back and forth will get you to drive.

Relays and the shift fuse which is the only 25 amp fuse (bottom, second row). And the connector to the switch actuator.
I would pull the right panel off and have someone listen to the actuator as the button is pushed. Check the harness there. The Shift Forward and Shift Reverse relays are identical and can be swapped.
