I live in central Maine and I'm looking for some friends to snowmobile with. I ride semi aggressive and like to ride, not stop every 20 minutes and smoke cigarettes! I have never ridden in Canada and want to do an epic prime season ride in either New Brunswick or Quebec as well as many miles as I can on the great trails in Maine. All the people in my local snowmobile club are nice people, but they ride 40 miles a weekend...I like 500 +. This sounds like a personal add, so I guess it is! Don't flame me because I'm a lonely rider! :o|

Why dont you plan to attend a TY ride?
I've met quite a few very good riding friends through the TY rides. These persons have taught me alot and share my passion. I've looked into other clubs in my area even if it requires much more travel :rocks:

When and where is the TY ride? I just might do that! I saw one posted for Minnesota and although I would love to go out there for that, its is quite a haul from Maine! Are there any in Maine or New Brunswick/Quebec?

Not many in Maine or NB.. dont think we have many members around... your more than welcome to join us yahoo's over in canuckville if you can keep up... hehe.. we drive... i have 21000 miles on in the last 4 winters between my 2 apex's...

Where is that? I usually can keep up or at least catch up! I'm hoping to put some real mileage on this year....Last year I only got about 2100.

Last year was low for me... 3700. My daughter was born last sept, so with a new little one in the house, was alot harder to get out... usually average 4500-5000 a winter.

How far from Millinocket are you. We keep our sleds there & ride every to every other weekend plus one 7 day trip around Maine. We usually do about 300 miles per day depending on snow & route we take. I'd love to "infuse" some new blood into our gang. This year we're adding a PO Rush boy so we can verbally abuse someone. We stop for lunch &/or dinner, but it's not long & we don't drink. We do stop once sometimes twice per hour to drink gatorade, chew jerky, pee, but they're quick & entertaining. Maybe we could hook up. I was also going to watch for TTY rides this year in our area...

You could pretty much show up at the Border Riders Clubhouse in Jackman any weekend morning and have riding company. Myself and my friends frequently pick up 'strays' to ride with, and many have become regulars.

Don't be afraid to just ask some folks if they want company!

I think I will have to tag along this winter! I live in Pittsfield and ride up at the Shin Pond area a lot as I own some land up there. What fun it is to rag the PO crowd! My only riding partner is from MASS and has two older Polaris sleds. That 7 day trip sounds GREAT....just what I was hoping to find on this post. I drink, but NEVER until I'm done riding, I don't see how/why anyone would do that? I'm heading out of the country next week and returning 12/17. Then I'm not going anywhere until the snow is gone! Count me in this winter!

I will make it a point to stop by and ride out of Jackman this winter and become a stray!

Did you miss my invite,in another post, and you already know where i live, sometimes i ride by myself,as you already know, like i said,i am back on my apex again,so look for a black 06 gt with ohlins up front. Pete

We may have something here. One loop we take is from Millinocket to Sherman, Patten to Shin Pond, Mattagamon, Bowlin Camps to Sherman then home. We also go to Eagle Lake, Fort Kent then sleep over & ride home next day. Our favorite ride is to Kakadjo, NE Carry, Pittson & home. We always vary the ride & we ride different throughout the day. I would ride 18 hours if they let me. That's why i'm stevewithOCD. I changed my E-mail, but we'll contact each other soon. BTW My sled is is good looking from behind...so get used to it LOL...
