Riser for my Rage

FLY racing, or risers off a Nytro would be the way to go, depends anything over 2inches you will need to replace cables from what i have heard on here.

riser

Put a 4" pivot rider on the cables will clear but if you use a block riser you can only go 2".The pivot allows you to move the bars ahead also the block riser moves them farther back over the seat so you have to sit back farther and you lose your handling of the sled.I had a 4" pivot riser on my sled the cables clear just fine.

did you take out the cable guide. It will clear Mine was total of 4" with no biding issues at all and there was other people with 4" pivot's that cleared.

i went with power madd pivot and 4" block. i did change the throttle cable, i rerouted the parking brake and the brake hose and i put 3500 miles on with no trouble.
pimped put on a power madd pivot and 6" block and he did change the throttle cable and brake hose. he also put a set of pro tapers handdle bars on and had to lenghten the hand warmer cables for the bars are wider then stock bars. if he would of ran stock bars the hand warmer cable would of been long enough.

yeah im runnin a powermadd pivot adapter w/ 6" block and a set of pro-tapers. i did have to buy a new throttle cable, brake hose, and i dont have a parking brake since i didnt want to spend the $$ to get a longer one, and also had to lengthen hand warmer cables. my bars only move under really hard hits, but for the average person they wont experience this too much

Here's an almost all Fly set up from www.factoryteam2racing.com. It's my '03 RX-1 mtn with a Fly Racing 8" black billet riser, Aerotaper SnoX bars with mountain bend with Fly Racing billet 45* hooks (other styles won't fit Fly alluminum bars due to wall thickness). The pivot adapter is my old Sportech APR adapter. This is all on top of my Mountain Performance 3/4" solid block My brake line is from Starting Line Products and my throttle cable is from Mountain Performance Inc.

I started with 3/4" riser with stock mountain bars (too short) then the 2" Sportech (still too short). Finally; I added the 8" Fly riser to the aerotaper bars with no rise. This is just right for me (I'm 5' 7") tall with my BOSS Highrise seat installed.

The powermadd riser did not fit the yamaha that well, so they are making a new powermadd riser system for the yamaha it will be out in september, It will work the same way as the old one, with riser block and 3 differnt risers and will pivot forward. I would talk to powermadd about it. I got the rox on my sled, But only becuase the old powermadd dint clamp down on the bars well being that it was spread out to fare. The new model will fit like a glove
