stock riser is 4 inches .just ordered 6 in. shouldnt have any prolbems with throttle cable or brake? an is their torque spec. for bolts on tthe risers? ty guys for info

I also put on the Mtn. riser, much better for standing position. Haven't received all the parts but did get the riser/ bolts and parking brake cable; still waiting for brake line and throttle cable. If you do a search you find quite a bit on subject. I compared parts from RTX to Mtn. and ordered what ever was different axcept for the cover tubes and hand warmers. The cables and brake hoses were only $25.00 to $35.00 a piece so I figured what the heck; Yamaha uses different ones for a reason, and I don't want to have any issues when I'm out on the trail. You will definently have to get a loger thottle cable or at least an extension. The nice thing about the taller riser is that you can mount hand gaurds without them interfearing with the windshield. I'll post pics once the project is complete.

I think the top clamp bolts torque rating is 16 ft lbs.
