hey guys
Just got a 09 xtx and want to rise the bars about 4 to 6 inches. What is the best set up in your opinion? I had a powermad pivot and 6 inch block on my rev. I liked that but dunno if they have a set up for yamaha. How high can I go without changing the break line and throttle cable?

2.5" riser for the throttle cable. 6" will be like ape hangers....They sell throttle cable extensions but dont know about how tall the brake hose or cable will allow you taller then 2.5". MTX throttle cable is only 35 bucks or so.

Thanks, what brand is a good one? rox?
I like the lake effect riser for 3 reasons: GPS mount, strength and a site sponser!

X2 on the lakeeffect. Best looking riser I have seen to date and it's tough. I have a RTX but I will try to through up a few pics of mine for you. You can also get. Any color you want.

Wow, a 6" riser is going to be huge on that sled. You have to remember tht because of the angle of the steering stem, a riser doesn't just move the bars up, but back as well.
I've been running a 3.5" riser, but I only like it for playing in the powder. I find the extra leverage really helps off trail. When spring came I removed it, and find the stock set-up much better for hard packed conditions.

i'm 6 5' and rise standing up 90% of the time. I had 6 inches of rise on my rev, I don't think I will need as much on the xtx, looks like 3". Can I get away with stock brake and throttle cables NFLD-Nytro?

You can get away with stock everything, you'll just need to do some rerouting of the throttle cable and brake line.

x2 on the lakeeffect riser, have one on both my sleds and they are great, look good, heavy built, easy to add GPS and Chris is a great guy, and site sponser.

I went with the " Grip'n'Rip Isovibe . It can be used as a 1.5" or 3" rise and dampens the shock to your wrists etc... bit more pricey, but I wouldnt have a sled without one.
