Hey guys, what's an acceptable riser height or an xtx that doesn't involve extending the stock cables. I'm 6'2 so I'd want it be be tall enough to stand straight up without bending, but also not too tall that I couldn't drive comfortably sitting down. Thanks!

I have a Lake Effect 2.5" riser, but am having trouble with the throttle cable being too tight when turning right ('09 XTX). Not sure on how to reroute the throttle cable, or where to detach it from to reroute it. I've searched and read that guys have gone 3" or even 4", but I can't seem to figure out how to even get a 2.5" to work. Sorry no help here, but those are the issues I am having. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated guys.

X2 on the 2.5" Lake effect riser should be perfect for you. BigTime just take the screws out of the throttle block and move it around so the cable is on the gas cap side of the riser instead of being in front of it. This is how I did mine with the OFT relocator kit which I also recommand.

FYI - 4" is as high as you can go with stock cables

Just to confirm - are you referencing max riser height with the stock XTX curved bar or using a straight bar?

I've just recently installed a fly pivot adapter with a 4 inch billet riser...throttle cable is tight, so I'm open to suggestions.

Sorry I should have added that I'm using the straight RSI bar with a 4 inch billet riser

Is this a 4" riser not including the height from the stock handle bars?

Are the XTX cables different from the RTX? I put a 6" Lakeeffect on with the stock bars with full range of motion and did not have to move any cables, I will say that i have since put on a flat bar and still might go to a 5" riser.

I am taking out my 2" rise and going back to stock. It was too high for me at 6'.

4" riser not including bar height. You will need to re-route the throttle cable a bit just to free up enough free-play ;)!

Looks like we are the same height. Try this, stock riser, loosen the bolts enough to move the riser just ahead of the little nub they put on the neck, the riser should be nearly vertical. For me this was/is a very comfortable and good height. It also allows you to move up on the seat and really hug the tank.
