What size riser are you using and what did you use for cables and hoses? Did you use Mtn cables or go aftermarket?

Thanks
Justin

If you go 2" or less you can get away with rerouting existing cables. But, for me it's kinda tight. Been there.

The mountain cable is a good route. However, I saw a cable extension in a catalog yesterday. Didn't have time to really take more than a notice of it. I'll post more info Sunday, if someone does not get it up there by then.

I have tried a cable extension on mine. It worked like crap.
I believe the best thing to do is get oem mountain cables.

I used a 6" Riser on mine, had a 4" first, but it wasn't tall enough, without the rider forward mod.

The 6" worked perfectly without rider forward steering mod!
Most of the cables can simply be re-routed to make them work.
Only cable that MUST be longer is the throttle cable.
Modded an Arctic Cat cable for mine.
(I was on the trail and the mountain cable I had ordered was no help.)
Have seen where you can use a mountain cable, but you MUST have the correct year for the cable.

I ordered the mountain cable of the same year for mine, it ended up being the exact same cable! (2005)
No help there.
Will look for the correct part number for ya, if I find it, will post it.

Yamaha Part# 8FS-26311-00-00 About $18

This is off a 2007 Apex Mountain.
I'm not positive about this, but read it in a couple places.

If anyone can verify it, let us know!

Part # 8EP-26311-01-00 = CABLE, THROTTLE 1 for an '04 mountain. I am not sure what year we are lookin' for though.

So, you can look up parts Here

Thanks for the help guys. The sled is a 2003 as far as the choke and the parking brake what did you do there. I'm trying to make the mods look factory nothing hack, so i want the choke on the bars as well as the e-brake.

For the 03 you can use the 05 RX1 M cables.

I stuck a 8" riser on my 03ton. I used the throt, choke and brake line from an 05 RX1 M. Kevin at Port steered me that way. Worked great.
Thanks Kevin :). All my cables are routed in the stock locations.
