So we talked about a rocky mountain powder ride this coming winter. Like to here you guys thoughts but my suggestion would be early like Thanksgiving or late spring for hero snow. Or maybe both for guys that can make one not the other?

We have enough snow on Grand Mesa to ride Thanksgiving almost every year, last year we had enough to sink 162 deep paddle tracks if you went too far off trail :) I will be doing our annual Thanksgiving weekend ride at Grand Mesa reguardless.

Spring conditions here are set up snow more like mashed potatoes but the good part is short track small lug tracks can go places they can't in early winter. Still can find powder stashes in the trees usually though.

I am happy to guide on whatever you guys decide, I will be on Grand Mesa Thanksgiving, New Years, and a spring trip we decide as we go and I would be HONORED to guide for TY members. If you plan to spend more than 3 or 4 days I might not be able to stay but I can show you where to go so it shouldn't be any problem. Oh, I won't guide to known avalanche areas plenty of fun to be had without someone losing thier life.

Your guys call, discussion please? Or wait till closer to winter?

And this is Grand Mesa Lodge, rooms start at $55.00 night and cabins start at $109.00 ( I am a cheap so I like this) The main trail is over 100 miles long but we never get very far from the lodge as there are so many truly places to play. Non ethanol gas on premise and ride from cabin.....damn now I want to go after looking at the pics again!
