First time out with Rage was great. Immediate response from throttle. 14 mpg on first tankful. I think it will be better after break-in. Top speed was 103 mph and will go alot faster. Reverse was a little tricky. Getting the lever into reverse. Then track was spinning. But overall, it's a ripper!

Hey Mike, if your reverse is tricky, shut the machine off. If it goes into reverse easily with the engine off, you just have a slightly tight belt. Either wait for it to wear a bit or shim the secondary. BTW, the Rage is a lot of fun. Great motor for trails and boondocking.

The other trick for getting it into reverse is to wiggle your butt on the seat so that the back end moves around. It looks goofy, but it works.

I had the same problem with mine, thought it was in and when I hit the gas I heard some rather unhealthy grinding noises. Out of the 10 times Ive used the reverse, thats the first time it's happened.

sometimes its pretty tricky, depending on how numb ur fingers r, but usually i just drive forward a couple of inches, but i understand that its not possible in some situations, but just keep playin with it and eventually u'll get it down

I've noticed on my V-max and the new vector if it won't go in reverse just move forward an inch or so.. Goes right in then....
