ROLLER DIAMETER

I hace a 04 shorty and I heard they changed the roller diameter in the primary. What would this affect in clutching campared to a 03 set-up if any? ie heal wght., mid wght, or tip wght.?

Roller size affects belt squeezefrom engagement to about 3/4 full speed. larger roller = less belt squeeze. The more your primary shifts out the less the roller makes a diff.

Should people that own a 2003 shorty be changing to a smaller roller.

If I remember correctly, 15.0 is stock?

Smaller roller will hurt backshift but help acceleration. I have switched to 14.5,s & gone back to 15,s. I like em better for trail riding.

The 04 went to larger rollers the stage 2 clutch kit comes with smaller rollers.
