When I first start my sled it idles very rough. It sounds like it is running on less than 3 cylinders.

If I shut it off and restart, it runs fine.

Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks

Let it warm up untill the red light goes out, it should smoothen out and sound normal, myself I let the motor warm up untill it reaches normal idle rpm then ride.

They haven't completely perfected the fuel injected sleds or atv's like cars and trucks yet. They tend to run a little bit rough when you first start them up. Typically with mine when it's real cold out it'll start once die then go the second time. Sometimes it runs real smooth other times it runs a little bit rough. Usually a quick little blip of the throttle smoothens everything out..

As already mentioned don't touch that throttle till the red light goes off.

On cold days mine does the same starts rough but smoothes out after its good and warm and ready to go.....

And don't forget about the TY ride on the 14 and 15 should be a good time check out the thread

This is the third year I have had the sled and the first year that this has started to happen.

I have tried to give it a quick shot on the throttle and it stalls.

If I shut it off, and then start it again it idles smooth, which makes me think it has nothing to do with engine temperatre.

It's posible that a air temp sensor or something like that is acting up and resets itself when you restart it.
