RS model random info/ New 0W30 Yamalube

Just some random info on the new RS models

Spark Plug - NGK CR8E
Oil Filter - 5DM-13440-00-00 (Also used on Raptor 660 ATV - Shorter than 5GH filter used on RX-1)

To turn on the headlights and light up the instrument pod without starting a RS series sled (will not work on RX models) turn the key on - hold down the right side handlebar warmer switch while cycling the kill switch on right handlebar up and down once. Keep holding down the handlebar warmer and after 5-10 seconds the lights should come on and the pod will light up allowing you to check mileage - fuel level - turn on headlights- etc. without starting the sled. Pretty cool!

Also look for a new 0W30 weight Yamalube designed to be used on all four stroke sleds. I am told it is 75% synthetic and should sell for around $6.00 qt.

You forgot to add the part about hopping on one foot and rubbing your tummy while doing all that.

Yeah after showing some people the trick I sure think they could make an easier way of doing it.

I suspect the reason it's so difficult and not well advertised is to help prevent people from leaving the lights on, draining the battery, then implementing the YES trip interruption part of their warranty because they can't get their sled started.
