Well, I have had a few good runs on my stretched RS Nytro. I also replaced the Pilot skis with Yamaha mountain skis and reinstalled the 11mm swaybar. Bottom line is that it was a worth while upgrade!
On trail, it handles great. The pilots were easier steering but the mountain skis hook up better in almost all conditions. I actually think the 11mm swaybar works better than the 13mm because I can get the outer ski to bite better. Rough trail riding is better too because of a more compliant front end and the longer track seems to make the sled more predictable
Off trail is where this thing really shines. Flotation and traction are great and I can actually steer in the powder now! I don't get nervous every time the group leaves the trail or I have to get over a snow bank and through a powder filled ditch. This mod has added a whole new dimension to riding
Compared to the 121 with Pilots, I would give the 144 with mountain skis a 110% on trail and 400% off trail. The pros definitely outweigh the cons.
Clutching on trail is good and I don't really notice any difference in power and speed under normal conditions. If anything, it pulls harder because of the added traction. I'm sure top speed will be down but I don't really are about that. Clutching off trail could be better as it under-revs in the deep powder. I'll throw a clutch kit into it for next year
Slide wear is about 40% after 500 miles. I suspect that the wear will slow down at this point
Cheers!

It looks good, I wish I had my old one that thing was fun.
Keep an eye on those little wheels they like to fall off. On my Apex 144" I put on the normal wheels and mounts.
