Should I get a battery heater and/or an engine block heater?

I have had my rx1 stay out all night at -40 up in Canada and never had a problem starting it. Helps to have full choke and give it just a little throttle.

Won't hurt but the RX1's have proven to be good starting machines in extreme cold. My sled always started much easier than my truck when the temps dropped below -25F.
We'll find out how the 3 bangers do this coming season.

Make sure you use the new yammie 0-30w semi-syn oil. Should start good. I have a pair of jumper cables-just in case.MM.

I am going to install a block heater in mine . If you have it pluged in before you leave home the engine is still warm after trailering for an
hour . The most engine wear is on first start and if it is warm there is less wear .

Found the coolant heater to be more effective then a block heater in warming up the engine before starting.

From -25F and warmer, it is no problem. I had to jump start mine at -40. Synthetic oil helps though. A warrior next to mine with synthetic oil didn't need a jump start.
