New snowmobiler here with a 2016 Venture . Just trying to get a feel for what everyone opinion that owns a Venture with this question .
What would you say your average cruising speed is on normal condition trails riding 2 up . When you get up to a certain speed and you say i'm going fast enough thats what i'm talking about .
I know some people never have too much speed but we are not one of them . We like to see nature and enjoy a relaxing day .
Appreciate any comments fellow snowmobilers have . Thanks .

I'm thinking this is question without a solid answer, way to many variables. "Normal trail conditions" alone could be a 3 page discussion.
Depends on your experience, comfort and knowledge of the area. I remember first jumping on a sled, going 45 mph thinking why would anyone every need to go any faster. An hour later I'm swearing at the sled, 65 mph is it?
Just ride at a speed that you are comfortable with for the conditions. As you get experience and comfort you may ride faster. Also knowing the area, riding the trail back and know what is ahead, or riding the same trail again. The "average" speed of tighter trails in lower Michigan will be less than the "average" speed of wide open trails in the UP.
If there was a true answer for this question, you would never see sleds passing on a trail.

Typically 45-55 mph on trails in the U.P. Of Michigan. In Wisconsin, 25-45 mph because trails there are generally much narrower and more corners.

We cruise about 35..... It's not the thrill of speed for us-----------------pause---------- It's the thrill of the company and of the freedom in general............MM.

We found out that about our speed too 30 - 35 - 40 is good for us depending on the trail . Travelling 40 mph saturday and some people were passing us like we were not moving !! .
Got to say we live in a small Canadian province and for the size of it there is a lot of snowmobile accident death every winter . Sad .

Go at a pace that YOU are comfortable at. What everybody else does DOES NOT MATTER! Let 'em go by.....big deal! Enjoy the beautiful scenery that your province offers you!
