Stopped at dealer on Dec. 8 and bulletin was right on top of pile of mail he was looking at. He said he was compiling list of people to call. Just got off phone and new shafts are in. Gonna have rear heat exchanger put in while its there too.(my cost). No luck with track noise complaint,he said rubber 06 wheels are won't help and they dont hold up well,as we've heard on other threads.Great service so far,and I'll keep pursuing track noise fix!

Is it just on the Venture or are the Vectors affected also? Is there a way to get a list of recalls if you have your serial number?

Call you dealer once they put you number in the computer it will list the things that affect that sled, Make sure they put the numbers in and not just blow you off.YaMon said:Is it just on the Venture or are the Vectors affected also? If you do a search on "jackshaft" you'll see posting's going back to last spring on this issue and if you read this post http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=17489 you’ll see people asking about this service bulletin in Oct. I had specifically ask about the jackshaft bulletin since the last fricking thing I wanted to do was take my sled back. Irrelevant at this point anyway since they have found me one in WI, just have to work out the warranty and appt. date. Don't get me wrong here guys but my Rage will have spent more time at the dealer than all of my AC's combined over the past 20+ years...not what I had expected from Yamaha. It still gets under my skin that Yamaha will send me some fricking safety sticker and a dealer service survey but won't take the time to send out notices regarding "service bulletins" because Yamaha doesn't consider them "safety" issues. In my book Yamaha is splitting hairs by not calling the jackshaft and TORS safety issues since either one could potentially cause physical harm depending on the situation in which they fail. If you have a 05' RS sled call your dealer and have your vin# checked since it appears that there are more than just a "small number" of sleds that need the jackshaft replaced.

I have been riding yamaha for 10 years, this is the first time i have ever had to take my sleds in for service. I was not happy either, i have a rage and a vector both needed all three recalls. Now that they are fixed i am ready to put this behind me and get back to riding, these are great sleds.
