My 2007 RS Venture starts great. I am finding I have to wait another 5 to 10 minutes until I can move it without stalling after the warm-up light turns off. Is this normal? Is there an adjustment I need to make with to the carburators? It runs great after it is warmed up.
Thanks
Thanks

My 08 Vector is the same way, depending on outside temps of course.
I have heard peeps on here say as soon as the light goes out their good to go, but I just don't see how? Maybe their light stays on longer than what our's does?

Thanks Irv. My buddy has a RX1 and his seems ready after the light turns off and it almost seems like his idles at a higher rpm than mine. I agree with you as it runs great once it is warm so nothing to worry about.
Thanks again
Thanks again
Idle on our sleds is between 1300 rpm - 1500 rpm. When adjusting idle, turn throttle stop screw: Turning In = Idle speed increase. Turning out = Idle speed decrease.
I've experienced the same thing after my lights goes off, sometimes after giving it throttle it's still cold. Just ease it in. Plus, you may notice it idles great & at certian RPM it kinda chugs. I've found this is a sign of a carb. cleaning. Once I clean the carbs. it runs much better.

I have not noticed any difficulties after the light goes out. One time and only one we had the sleds running warming up while getting gear on had a cigar and my sled shut down. So I don't let it idle much after the light goes out.

Mine would stall and bog right after the light went out and then it was hard to start, so I changed the pilot jets from 45's to 50's. No more bog but it still stalls sometimes unless you touch the throttle. You might try a can of Sea Foam. It seems to work wonders on dirty carbs.

Never have cleaned the carbs so I probably should do that sometime. I will try the Sea Foam first and see if it makes a difference. Just curious how much everyone is adding to their fuel per application?
Thanks
Thanks
My 2011 RS Venture does the same thing it just needs more time to warm up. Both of my RX1,s are good to go when the light comes off and it idles down.
My 07 does the same thing, right from day one.. Just needs a bit more time to warm up then its go to go..

My 06 Nytro is the same. After the light goes out I give it another 5 min. If I take off right after the light goes out runs a little rough for a few minutes.
Technically the manual reads you should warm it up for approx. 15min if I recall correctly. The light shuts off after a few minutes so I guess it makes sense to continue warming it up there after, especially is COLD weather as we're experiencing right now.

I guess I should add that mine is stored in a heated garage so that might be why I don't notice the longer warmup.

If I let mine idle for a long time the temp light comes on (2006). Long time meaning 15 - 20 min or so, fluid levels are all good.
Is this normal?

That has happened to me. I would guess it's because no snow is on the heat exchangers and the coolant can't cool down. No need to really idle for 20 minstrel anyway that I can see.
