The well used 2015 RS Viking that I have bought has a whinging from the gearbox when running in higher speeds then 15 km/h (~10 mph) in low gear. I know that this is "normal" on older Vikings, is it the same for RS Viking?

Check the tension of the chain.

The tension is perfect.
I looked in to this and the gearbox uses straight cut gears and they have never been accused of being silent. So if you have not heard it you have not been listening enough :-D
