I gotta say that I'm a bit nervous about my selction this year (RTX). I could of had the GT or the Attak, but after my 2004 Warrior every bone in my body said buy the lightest trail sled available. Now I'm not so sure. All I've heard is how great the GTs and Attaks are and how bad the Fox Floats are. My riding buddy got the Attak. It appears most everybody on this site bought the GT. I guess only time will tell. What do you guys think? :ORC

I rode them GT,ER,Attack,Nytro(prototypes). I bought a blue APEX ER. I am also having thoughts about the Attack. My buddy bought a Attack. I heard there is not going to be a huge separation between the rear skids. His will probably bottom out easier. Time will tell. The Attack seemed alittle better, but without more saddle time, I cant say for sure. ;)! :4STroke:

Ride it and see how you like it first. Then make changeouts such as shocks after you know what you do and don't like. You may need nothing at all.

ridgerunner, you did fine!
SnowTech just gave the floats a nice little write up
and
Viper 34, who works for Yamaha, and puts a huge amount of miles on prototypes says it is his favorite shock.
Ya gotta love the red foil flame graphics too.

I couldn't tell any difference in weight between the apex and attack. Fox float shocks rock btw. Yes you may have to service them earlier than usual but the ride is very good.

If the Floats end up being junk, you can always swap them out for the KYBs or a Ohlins.
I personally would have went with the Apex ER and then upgraded it to better shocks if you wanted, but I wouldnt stress about your decision.
It seems to me that you really cant go wrong either way.

I bought an RTX. I rode them all and found them all to be great in the front suspension.

I was extremely happy with the Apex and Attacks.....so I went for looks!

I dont think you could have made a mistake no matter which sled you bought... From the rave reviews they are all awsome..

My buddys 05 F7 SP has the fox floats and i rode it ...

THe only problem with the fox floats is that if they blow out they go completely flat and when you remove air the ride hight goes down and when you add air they raise up.. Other than that they work pretty well... (i personally rather have a spring due to reliabilty)

If you dont like them im sure someone on this site would surly trade you even up for a set of stock APEX shocks or maybe even a pair of Piggy back shocks..

Wait and ride it first before you make any decisions.. I personally dont think you will be disapointed at all!

Look on the bright side; you know have a storage compartment in back to carry a spare shock 8)
