2007 RTX will only pull 114 on radar. You won't have any gear left.
He hasn't run out of gear at under 100mph though.
For the other comments on extrovert drivers, I'm running Skidoo anti-ratchet/extrovert drivers on my 07 RTX and I don't think it lost anything over the stock drivers. We came upon a lake when riding in Quebec yesterday and decided to do a little comparing between the REV-XPs and 2 Apex sleds. The group had an 06 Apex ER, my 07 Apex RTX ER, a REV-XP MXZ X 800R, a REV-XP MXZ Adrenaline 800R and an 07 MXZ 600SDI.
My 07 RTX, with extroverts would slowly crawl past the 06 Apex ER and MXZ X 800R. The MXZ Adrenaline 800R was the fastest by a few mph (and much faster through mid-range). All sleds are stock, except I have the extroverts + a 1" track with 144 studs. From fastest to slowest (top speed wise):
1. 08 REV-XP MXZ Adrenaline 800R, 1" Ripsaw, 84 studs (I'm not 100% positive on the studs; he may have a few more).
2. 07 RTX ER, 1" Predator, Skidoo anti-ratchet drivers, 144 Gold Diggers, 2 to 3 mph slower (estimated).
3. 08 REV-XP MXZ X-package 800R, 1.25" Ripsaw, 84 studs, 2 to 3 mph slower than the Adrenaline (my RTX was only just a hair faster on top; this sled actually beat me by a good 2-3 lengths through mid-range - we only lined up once).
4. 06 Apex ER, 1.25" Ripsaw, 96 studs, 3-4 mph slower than the Adrenaline, about 1 mph slower than my RTX.
5. 07 MXZ 600SDI, stock, studded (not sure how many), I'm not sure how much slower this is on top end, but it accelerated very well (stayed with us all) up to at least 80+ mph. He's had it up to 107 mph on radar.
So those 600SDI's can be quite fast, extroverts don't kill top end (Skidoo extroverts anyway) and the fact that the RTX is geared lower than the Apex ER doesn't hurt top end on snow covered lakes (even if the snow is very hard packed and/or wind swept).
