This was definitely true with my Apexes. I can't believe they still do this. Change to 50/50 and no need for rear exchanger in my Attak. Guess I'm doing this with my Winder too.Yamaha usually runs a straight blend of antifreeze ,I would try to drain some of the fluid, add some purified water ,usually 75% AF,25 % water mix.Straight antifreeze retains the heat longer, the water mix will disperse the heat and allow better flow rate, also remember to let system purge and refill if needed. My new Apex and a few other new sleds I had had same symptom until I did the service and never had any issue ever after that, even in low snow conditions.Give it a shot,it worked for me.

Good luck with cable scratchers I got went through 3 sets of duraflex on my nytro in 2000miles they kept pulling the hooks off and this year just got a set of straight line performance for my BTX LE and guess what they look nice but the end ripped off with 300miles down on the trail and now I got new slides at 500miles cuz the one is shot! Back to normal scratchers just think when you back up.This was definitely true with my Apexes. I can't believe they still do this. Change to 50/50 and no need for rear exchanger in my Attak. Guess I'm doing this with my Winder too.

Had a mach z foul plugs once so used the headlight from my idling apex and after a while, it shut off by itself. Restarted with temp light on but it went off after some snow on the running board exchangers.
Heated up once last year with thin snow on a road for miles, so picked up the pace and the air from the track fanning the tunnel exchanger put the light out with no real snow....a friend got scared so I said go faster and his light went out too...on a vector. Dont like doing that, but they really weren't that hot.

Thanks Drant. I may try those. The flexible ones would hit my track & take some rubber off. I guess i should just slow down when scratchers are on, but then again maybe i should just slow down period. I plan on changing coolant after break-in & adding scratchers so just looking for all my options...
