RX-1 Battery

The battery in my 04 RX-1 crapped out this weekend. Won't turn her over even after charging several hours. I think the 05 and/or the 06 batteries are lighter. Will they work/fit in the 03 or 04? Might as well get the lighter one since I have to replace it.

This came up in an earlier post. I remember reading the 05 lighter battery WOULD NOT fit in the 03 / 04 but I'm not sure why???

I put an 05 battery in my 03 RX1 Mtn. Terminals are reversed and the battery is smaller. I used the same battery tray and used styrofoam blocks to hold it in place. Seems to be just fine.

Yes they will work however they are alittle smaller and as mentioned you may need to add some foam to the stock battery tray. The new ones use the YTX14L and the older style is a YTX20L
