I replaced my dohnuts on my '03 rx-1, with just under 6,000 miles on them, this last weekend, and like most of you, my 2 allen bolts stripped instantly. :o| I refused to pull the rear suspension, because i feel its a pain in the #*$&@ to put back in. After a few minutes of thought, I took my allen wrench, and cut it so it was just a straight shaft, without the bent end on it. I then welded it inside of an old 6mm socket i had, and then i tack welded the other end into the stripped part of the allen bolt. The heat from the weld un-froze the bolt, and then i just spun it right out with a ratchet. WORKS GREAT! and saves a ton of time! ;)! Hope this can help some of you out!

Glad it worked for you! i tried that, along with welding a serious size bolt straight on the allens and i still couldnt get them to budge. It all depends on how badly they are seized up. I have about 2000 miles on my 03 and they were toast. good thinking tho

I changed exhaust on mine last weekend and got one of the bolts out, the other stipped. I beat a easy out into it and got lucky. Came out the first try. Now they have hex head bolts in them.
