I have a 2005 RX-1 RS Rage that keeps going into limp mode. ill be cruising down a trail just fine and my check engine light will pop on and I loose all power. it stays running and returns to idle but as soon as you touch the throttle it wants to just bog out. If shut the key off turn it back on and it returns back to normal. Happened 3 times yesterday over the coarse of an 80 mile ride. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

I was going to say tors too adjust your throttle cable so there is a little slack in it if there is slack already 1/8 inch free play in thumb throttle you can over ride it too.

there is a micro switch in the thumb throttle that opens when you squeeze the throttle it has to open before the carbs start to open or it over rides and sled wont move. if there is no ice in the throttle area and you have free play in throttle then near the carbs you will find the wires they are barrel connect style you pull the apart and connect the two that go up to the harness into each other.

thanks i appreciate it. From what I have been reading this seems to be a pretty common problem. Any idea on the best way to over ride it?

it is safer to fix it it is a safety feature but yes you can just over ride it and many have try adjusting throttle cable first and if that don't fix it then just plug the two wires into each other.

What thor said, try an find the problem. Override them to see if it goes away, if it does then start lookn for cable issues.
