Hey guys, first time user. My 2003 RX-1 has started to use excessive oil, around 1 quart every 130 miles. No leaks, no blue smoke. Anyone used ring free for this problem? Anyone experienced oil consumption on an RX-1?

yes, my RX starts to burn oil every 2000 miles or so. I just use some ring free in the gas ans it takes care of it.

If its loosing oil, try to figure out why. Start with a compression and/or leak down test. If it shows normal, then it might be that you're just overfilling the oil. Check oil level with dip stick NOT screwed in. Don't fill over the "F" line.

I was using about 1/2 litre every 600 kms on my 03 & tried Seafoam in both the oil & gas........it works, just got back from a trip in Northern Ontario & after beating on it very hard consumption has improved to 1/2 litre per 1000kms...give it a try
