RX-1 Racing Reports

Started 48th of 48 and finished 12 in CrossCountry race

A 320KM (200Mile) XC race through mountains and over rivers etc... I placed 12th out of 48 other two strokes including moded F7's, MXZ 800's, Polaris 800's. My sled is totally stock and it was my first real race so I took it easy. I started last as I had some last minute trouble with my makeshift wiring for the safety tether cord.

ZR900 on friday,we raced several times and he beat me by about three sled lengths most of the time...:(
Oh,well at least I can say that my 03' can keep up with the BEST of the two strokers for now!

I admit defeat, not by much, but I admit it.

Lots of oil, and a ticked off owner. But is was a RX1, and am glad to say the Yamahas were the fastest out there.

SledderSteve - Close, but the turbo didn't let go, the engine did.

The races between Nos Pro and that turbo RX-1 were pretty sweet. I was pumped just to see all those Yamahas out on the lake!!

300 ft. radar runs, with sloppy wet snow. Track was terrible, and for my last run, they groomed. This was one or 2 shots on the bottle, but every time I hit it, the thing overrevved.

1st run - 75mph
2nd run - 77mph
3rd run - 74mph
4th run - 75mph

This was against everyone there, and 77mph was not going to be beat. Next was another Hauck RX-1 at 74mph, and an Artic Cat 800 Mod, at 73mph.

Saw a Vector go thru at 70mph, thought that was cool.

:4STroke:

Average was 63-68mph for the other brands and other sleds.
