I have an '05 rx-1 and the rear suspesnion makes a loud clunking , like a hammer hitting, whenever i hit certain bumps. it has had the new upgraded swing arm and everything looks ok. i can tsee anything physically broken. it has 3000 miles on it. are there bushings on it that could be bad?

I'd bet the bushings are shot.

I just had the rear skid apart on my 05 Warrior, bout 3500 miles and every single bushing was practically gone. You need 8 for the shocks, 4 for the two big linkage arms, and 8 for the w-arm.

Replace them all, and while the skid is out inspect the w-arm for rusty cracks or other signs of fatigue, if in doubt, either reinforce or replace. They break out on a trail with no warning, you're fubared.

Your '05 RX1 has the mono shock. Bet you're hearing the transfer rod banging. Mine does the same thing, over 8,000 miles and it's always made that noise in certain situations.

RAW is right. When they break out on the trail your screwed. Happened to me last night. I took 3 of us to try and drag the sled up a hill with a crazy carpet underneath because the broken pcs. won't let the track spin. Good times........

THANKS GUYS! mine does have the MONO shock though. this is different than the suspension in your warrior and the earlier rx-1's. I'm happy to hear that Mono's all do that because i couldn't physically see anything wrong with it at all.

Hey guys if you break out on the trail and your towing take your belt off. She'll run over the sled towing her if your not careful.
