fri nite testing at union grove 6-19-04. after establishing a baseline rx-1 for our test comparision, we installed our production simons cpr trail turbo on the rx-1 set to 8 lbs of boost. the engine was completely stock and was run on premium pump fuel, previously, the stock rx-1 ran 10.80s at 114 mph, the first run off the trailer, the simons cpr turbo ran a 9.59 at 132.65 mph, and then we had to screw around the rest of the nite getting our driver licenced to run in the 9,s. this left us with only enough time to make a couple of changes. the end result was a 1.463 60 ft time, 3.893 330 ft time, 5.997 1/8 mile time at 115.35 mph, 7.889 1000 ft time, and a 9.552 1/4 mile time at 133.51 mph, all on pump gas!!! with a standard production simons cpr rx-1 turbo kit!!! and our simons cpr supertune clutch kit!!! on a stock rx-1 engine!!! not bad for a first outing. everyone is invited down to union grove tommorrrow (sat) where the rx-1 will be on display as well as being raced. there will be great traction during tommorrows race and the simons cpr turbo'd rx-1 should get into the 9.4s..........
