Well got a chance this weekend to ride both the RX-1 and the Vector back to back and against one another. I liked the "lightness" of the Vector, but the power of the RX-1. I also felt the Mono shock skid fit me better than the pro-active in the Vector.
Got to race and they would stay side by side until about 50-60mph and the only way the Vector would win is if the driver would block me and push me over into fresh untracked snow
Both sleds were equipped with a Ulmer Racing Stage III clutch kit!
Either way these sleds rock!

at hauck power sports today and they had that yamaha demo ride there, and they had a stock rage, race against a 99 srx 700, not sure on the year. but anyways the srx had a 136 extension with a ripsaw and 104 pics. they raced bout 1000 ft, and the rage surprisingly won by bout 4 sled lengths. this was on 1-2" hard pack snow on top of ice.

hmmmm......that SRX must not of been tuned right. No way 135 hp will get beat by 120 hp when they weigh about the same unless the SRX wasn't running right.

many factors can come into play when racing...track length, and how each others sleds transfer rods are set and limiter straps studs, rider wieght etc.pimpedrsrage said:both were dead stock. i couldnt believe it and rusty at haucks actually laughed when he heard bout it. but i do have to say that hauck himself was on the rage....but hauck probably had bout 30 lbs on the guy that was on the srx....dont know bout the tuning tho. i believe both were stock. no idea on the mileage on srx or rage

I don't buy it :ORC The Rage was juiced or the srx wasn't running right or possibly both.pimpedrsrage said:the rage surprisingly won by bout 4 sled lengths

im not sure on the extension on the srx...now that i think bout it, it could possibly a 131 or a 136, but it WASNT a 144. the rage had the orange stickered "demo ride" sticker on the windshield. it could have been a possibility that the srx wasnt running right but all i know is both sleds were stock engine-clutch and the rage won by bout 4 sled lengths.
if u dont believe me..call haucks 715-234-6195
