RX Warrior -04 misfires with bad performance at 6000-8000rpm

Have anyone any clue on this, it began after the 800km maintance.

The machine splutters and misfires from 6000rpm up to about 8000rpms with a really bad performance, no warninglamps is on and the machine is varm and fine. And the misfires is increasing.
If I use the choke a bit the power kicks in and the misfires lessens. My dealer thinks it's the airscrews and refuses to check anything else

Sparkplugs is changed, airscrews checked and they are 2 turns out, it's tested on opening the screws to 3 turns and the machines still misfires, a little less tho.

After my first service the dealer install the air box wrong (it wasn't sealed to the carbs correctly) made it run poorly.

That is not the problem. The airbox has been out atleast 10 times as they have tried to adjust the airscrew... They don't give up on the airscrew. I guess they still think that the RX is a 2-stroker...

Any other ideas?

Tell your dealer to FIX IT, it is their responsibility since its still under warranty. If they refuse, call Yamaha, complain, and find a better dealer.

It could be the wires in the nose under the beer can holder - make sure that none of the wires have broken insulation.

They wont refuse on fixing it, It's just that I don't think they have the knowledge, so it's gonna take a while and meantime I'm looking for answer other than those the dealer tells me, and this site seems to be the best one to choose
And hopefully someone has a couple of ideas that I can force them to try..

Did you try bypassing the T.O.R.S.?

Perhaps a silly question, but how do I bypass it correctly?
I've never had any need on doing that on any machine I own earlier.

There is a two wire connector coming across the tops of the carbs, with 2-bullet connectors in it. disconnect it and connect the ends going in the sled harness.

I would suspect possibly plugged pilot jets, from what you describe tho.

If it was tors, it wouldn't make it to that high of RPM. Only would make about 4000.

My guess is dirty or clogged pilot jets. Have seen that a couple times. If a few of them gets clogged carbs gets out of sync. A friend of mine had his pilots clogged as much as 3 times on the same day, so check it out. His sled acted just as you describe.

Check that your cables are sitting properly in their place at the throttle lever end. Mine was out and would activate the tors.
