Hey guys, looking for a little help. I searched but didn't find much... I did find that some people are switching out to 8 tooth drivers to run a 1.75" track, but what I would like to know is is it necessary? I guess anything else that needs to be done to have clearance for this track?

I'm asking for a buddy that wants to get some work done to his '04 Warrior.

Thanks!

you can get rid of tunnel protectors and give you more room ,if you are not running studs.

With 9 tooth you will just clear in the front of the tunnel. I think you will have to take the tunnel protectors out either way. I would go with 8 tooth so you don't have to worry about it. If it is close in the front, it is hard to get the snow out the front of the track in the powder. When the powder gets on top of the track it has to exit out the front. We had one sled run a 1.75 with 9 tooth. It had a hard time getting the ice chunks out.

I would run the 8t also for snow clearing.I ran 8t with my 1.5" and stock protectors.
