Just got back from a 240 km ride on my SRX and dad with his 2004 RX warrior. Dad ran out of gas about 200 km's on the ride and this was from a full tank. This doesn't seem right from last year if I remember right. It has also started to use a bit of oil. I know sea-foam is some good stuff to help with the oil burning issue but what happened to the gas mileage? My SRX got 240 km to a tank. I know my tank is bigger but still doesn't seem right. Any ideas? Thanks.
the warrior doesn't quite have 6000 miles on it yet and my srx just turned over 10,200 miles.

on my warrior witch has only 800kms (finally) at 154kms i still had 1 bar over 1/2 tank of gas today when i filled it up. check the plugs as well as the seafoam in the gas.
only way i could possibly see the milage bein that bad was him breaking trail all day. all sleds burn more gas when they have to break the trail.

The most I pushed my Warrior on groomed trails was somewhere between 120 - 130 miles and at that point the low fuel light was only for 5 to 10 miles. I'm guessing max range would have been about 140 miles if I rode to a dry tank.
wow, I must have it good because I am getting anywhere from 150-190 miles to a tank. I added a fitch fuel catalyst and my mileage jumped. Try to watch your track tension as well.

I consistently get 125-130 miles before the fuel light comes on....mixed trail & lake riding...after the fuel light comes on, I've pushed it to around 135-140 miles before filling up....by my calcs. I should have still had 8-10 litres (1.5 to 2 gals.) of fuel left in the tank....the only thing I'm not sure of is how 'low' the fuel can get before the pick-up starts sucking air.... to actually run out at 125 miles (approx 200 km) doesn't seem right but could be dependent on trail conditions, I suppose?

Well the trail conditions were very good. There was a long stretch of some low speed riding but quickly straightened out on some good flat and straight trails. We weren't riding very aggressive OR breaking trail at all... so I was a little puzzled. I will try the sea-foam and see if that works. The only thing that I did that's out of the ordinary is store it in a heated shop for about 1.5 weeks, and if that has an affect on gas mileage, by that kind of jump from last year, My name is pamela anderson.
I'll see what I can figure out. Thanks

When you say "ran out of gas" do you mean as in totally quit? Or rather that just the idiot light came on? If totally quit that's WAY too low, if my math hasn't failed me that's right around 122 or so mi. (Sorry, I don't think too well in metric). I generally go about that distance when the idiot light comes on. And when that happens I usually only take about 7.2 or 7.3 US gallons. This is with the 03 LE shorty with K&N filters and larger mains (165's).

150 miles to a tank is the best you are going to do(from own experience and SNOWTECH MAG)13 miles per gallon may be the norm. This sled still gets way better mileage than my perious sled(1998 indy 500carb).On the oil note my last oil change was 250 miles ago and it has burned a little under 1/3 of a litre of 5w30 yamalube, but half of those miles are long high speed runs and cross-country hammering.

My Warrior with 10,000 miles will get 140 miles per tank, if pushing snow it can drop down to 120 miles.

My Warrior gets 15-16 MPG consistently. I now have 1000 miles on the sled. It should be able to go 150-160 miles per tank of gas but I would never push it that far. I have been 125 miles on a tank which is about as close to empty as I want to get.....................

I have a '04 Warrior and ride with a buddy with a SRX in all different conditions. We ride hard and to the bar most of the time and he has never burned less gas than me.Warrior and SRX both have approx. 10,000 km.

With my 03 with 4400 miles all stock engine/clutch... on my first long ride this year in real hard pack/icy condtions I got 19mpg. Groomed driving mostly easy.
The next time with lots of loose snow and sometimes realy pushing (but only some) I only got 13-14
Point is it can vary for lots of reasons...
