those where the snow deflector flaps that came on the rx1 mountain from that era. when i changed the belly pan from grey to black on my 05 flat black ltd, the parts guy wanted to know if i wanted those too as only the mtx had black belly pan that year.

I was just researching this. I just bought a 03 Rx1 that has them on it. It has both covers but one needs some of the plastic screws that hold them on.

thanks,

If you don't like the way they look ill buy them off you lol. Cant fine em nowhere.

Also maim do you still have any contact with that parts guy, maybee I can contact him??

dude, that was the dealer back in 08 when i got asked about if i wanted those.

just looked up the part # for both of them,

on the shroud diagram on yamaha fiche, you wants parts 37 through 40 to put them on from scratch.

8EP-7819L-00-00 for right side one.

8EP-7819M-00-00 for left side one.

for all the parts to put them on and the wings from the 05 rx1 mountain parts list.

Anybody know why my used 03 RX1 RX10RH has these on them? It doesn't appear that it came with them. The sled does have a lot of aftermarket parts on it. Somebody added them? I do intend on putting them back on.

Thanks,

they supposedly stop the rider from getting a face full of snow when carving in the powder. have not had them on any of my apex/rx sleds but i alwaays get a helmet full of snow when i carve at a decent speed in powder.

Very interesting. I've never done any carving. Good to know. I did find some of the plastic screws and secured the ones on my sled today! I got something done for once!

Thanks,
