I JUST RECENTLY HAD MY 05 RX1 CARBS CLEANED. I HAVE ABOUT 5000 MILES ON IT. AFTER GETTING MY SLED BACK IT RUNS LIKE IT DID WHEN I BOUGHT IT. HOWEVER, NOW IT IS DRINKING FUEL LIKE NO TOMORROW. I BURNED 5 GALLONS MORE FUELS THEN MY BUDDIES SRX 700 AND MY GIRLFRIENDS RAGE ONLY GETTING ABOUT 70 MILES TO MY TANK...ANY THOUGHTS...ALSO THE MECHANIC WHO HELPS ME WITH THE SLED MENTIONED IF ITS NOT THE CARB SETTINGS THAT IT MIGHT BE THE EXHAUST DOUGHNUTS GOING BAD...WOULD THE DOUGHNUTS EFFECT THE FUEL MILEAGE THAT MUCH?

Clean your carbs again and check your floats. If you pull your plugs it should give you an idea of which carbs is dumping the fuel in black rich running plugs in fact it could be all of them. Set your air fuel screws to 2 turns out from a light seat and you might as well pull the jets and clean them again. Squirt carb cleaner in every nook hole and cranny. I had one of my float valves sticking or not seating properly. I polished the seat and valve with a cigarette filter and fixed the problem. Make sure your air box is on properly as well. Another thing to look for is your air filter full of ice and choking your sled for air.

Your welcome! Another thing to look for is when cleaning your jets make sure they are not glazed with a coating of clear gunk they look clean but are not. Pay attention to the pilots jets as well they look like a cannon barrel with holes in it and you should be able to see light through the length of it. You may want to change your float bowl screws to allen head type as well. If your o rings are dried up on the end of your needle jets just take them off and throw them away. You can get those screws from Crewchief47 a mod on this site.
