Hi Guys,
New to the sight, I have just purchased a 03 RX1 with 12300km first snowmobile owned! Everything was fine when I picked it up but once home I ran it and the triangular caution light was lit up, I noticed the handle bar heaters not working. So I am assuming one has burnt out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Rob

Please add your location to your profile its a site rule. That flashing light is a warm up light once up to operating temp it shuts off. On the 03 you have to set the handle bar heater each time you ride put them on high and you should feel the heat.

Hey
The flashing light works fine when the engine is warmed up, its the light to the right on the dash the is constantly on when machine is running. I guess I will take it in for a diagnostics check.
Cheers

Is it the low oil warning light? The low fuel warning light? or just the warning light beside the high/low beam? A picture would be nice. Could be low on oil as the 03 rx1 tend to use some engine oil. It could also be the engine overheat light check your coolant level.

Hi Guys I figured it out............nothing to do with hand warmers just low on fluids. Once topped up light went out.

The tank showed well below empty.
Fuel, oil or coolant tank?

It was the oil tank.............coolant looks ok
Ah makes sense the 03 do use a little oil but I would not worry about and just ride it. FYI the proper way to check your oil level is to unclip the wire harness, screw out the dip stick which is also the low oil lite sensor, wipe it clean, stick it back in tank WITHOUT SCREWING IT BACK IN.

Also, Engine Oil should be checked with the engine warm to hot approximately a minute after shutting it off.
Make sure sled is level.
