RX1 LE Sway Bar Question

I have the 03 RX1 LE. It has the updated links but the sway bar is still the original one. I went to the Yamaha dealer today and looked at a few newer models and they all seem to have a larger bar in them and I have read about using a 13mm bar as an upgrade. I had them look up the part # from an 04/05 and they both show the same bar as the newer sleds on the floor. (09 Apex GT)

larger sway bar:

Yamaha # 8FG-2386E-00-00 (sway bar) $135.71

Yamaha # 8FG-2386G-00-00(bushing) $1.87

My 03 shows:

Yamaha # 8FA-2386E-00-00 (sway bar) (10mm I measured mine)

Yamaha # 8FA-2386G-00-00 (bushing)


Is this what I want to buy? I am in Ontario, Canada.

Sorry I see you are in Ottawa. I thought Pioneer was in the USA and would be a pain for it to come to Ontario.

YES he's in the US but thats No problem, just make sure when they ship to use USPS not UPS...or just plain old mail but it'll take longer to get to you, use your credit card to pay or PAYPAL and your all set, our BUCK is still pretty strong so exchange is not so bad.

#*$&@ Performance in Ontario sells the Pioneer 13 mm sway bar. Google their web-site.

FYI: Yamaha does NOT make a 13mm bar. They made 10mm in 03, all newer are 11mm. The bar ENDS are thicker -- obviously you didn't remove the bar from the machines to measure.

I measured mine inside the machine with a gauge when I was changing the oil and had room to reach it. I did not on the new ones but did notice even the ends were bigger than the 03 stock.

Someone already straightened this out and as the post above states I have purchased the 13mm bar from Pioneer via #*$&@.
