RX1 Nitrous kits!

We at CBperformanceparts sell nitrous kitrs for the rx1 or other yamaha sleds. We run wet systems which are much more powerful then any dry system. Our kits are Nitrous express and work very well. Here are some pictures of our kit installed on our rx1.

Since that picture, it has been relocated to get better power. YOu can check out our site if you are interested in one of our kits. I will soon post a video for you all to watch of our rx1 using the nitrous. It shows the rpms and the mph. In the video, it is a 10 hp shot per cylinder and is a huge improvement. To change the amount of horsepower per cylinder on this system, all you have to do is change the pill size. Let me know if you have any questions! Explain why the wet systems are more powerful???

The wet systems are more powerful because they are able to bring in fuel along with nitrous oxide into the cylinders. This allows for much more fuel to be burned creating more power. With the dry systems, they are not capable to bring in as much fuel and gas combination creating less horsepower. With are kits, we can bump up the pills to run 30 HP per cylinder on the rx1 engine. Which is obviously 120 HP extra. This will bring your RX1 to about 265 Horsepower! Any other questions???

question 1- do you have one nozzle and a diffuser in the airbox, or jets in each boot?
2-I thought dry systems were safer, because there was 'less' chance of ice crystals forming that eat the engines?

Our kits have a flange they plug into for the nitrous to go into with just one nozzel. As for the safety, I am not sure about the ice crystals however we have used our kits several times on our sleds without problems. I will have to look into that for you and let you know but from dry systems, you cannot get the power that the wet systems are pumping out.

2000srx: No offence but I can buy 4 40HP nozzles from Holtzman and make 160hp on top of the 140 the stock motor makes for 300 total HP. Each nozzle would feed a carb.


here is the big problem. You can't run more then about 80hp on the RX-1 because of the ignition timing.

The DRY systems out there do not require a bottle heater and can make Power on par witht eh wet systems if you increace the NOS nozzles.

Barry Holtman,Boon Docker and Boss have spent a lot of time and money devleoping there NOS kits. I think it's in poor taste to try to dicredit there kits especially when the kit your selling is one you bought from NOS express not somthing you developed on your own


Boys stick to the dry setups. No bottle heater and they are safer because the NOS cannot going the motor when you let out of the throttle

I really dont want to start anything here but I am just trying to sell our product. As far as power goes, our NX Express system is capable of much more power the 30HP per cylinder, I said 30 HP because that is the highest we sell with our kits. These wet systems are capable of a little above 65 HP Per cylinder! (260HP + 140HP) However, you will have to go through your motor and rebuild it to withstrain this power. I will agree with the heater but if you have friends who are slow at getting ready like mine, go out there 5 minutes early and start the heater up. With a 65 HP shot, it will put you a little above 400 HP. As far as the ignition timing for more then 80 HP, You have to retard the timing on it to allow for the nitrous. Our rx1 has taken a 120 shot of nitrous gross and we retarded the timing on it. The problem with that amount of power was that after excessive use, we finally blew the head gasket on it. Like I have said before though, if you are going to run that much horsepower in a rx1 engine, no matter weather it is a wet or dry system, you must completely rebuild it to hold up to it. This post is not meant to be agruementative but the facts. I am not saying dry systems are bad but Wet systems are capable for more horsepower!

stealth nos from left over parts

nice 130 hp load takes 118nos octane and 85grams arms 65/130. with stock timing. this was done with left over parts. pretty much a stealth cheater system on my sled. We run promod bikes w/ 300 hp loads using nx nozzles, car promod nos sol., holly fuel pump and 5# bottle for 6 seconds. oil/ring seal, timing based on humidity and octane, jetting based on air density, bottle/fuel pressure for fine tuning and then its engines limit!!!! www.jayriddleracing.com

Jayriddle I see you are spraying before the throttles,has this caused any problems? I was told that could cause problems with the throttle blades sticking from ice.I have mine in the carb boots after the carbs.

i have had no problems yet. this set up is only used for short 300-500 foot runs. you cant even tell its on if you start on the launch. the whole system comes off in no time. and is replaced w/ my other box! or leave it on (the carbs are set up for a mod. box anyway) you do have to change clutch arms or let it lug @ 8700
the bottle doesnt last long w/ this tune up.

Wet systems generally are capable of more hp. But with the Boss Noss We can give you as much HP as your crazy little heart desires. I am running an 60hp shot into the airbox on my Escape by running two full LINES and nozzles from my regulator. And all this without bottle temp affecting a thing.

The problem with hig hp shots is that bottle time is so low that the Nitrous becomes unpractical. For racing great, but for riding you want to have 20-30 shots or it just isnt worth it. I wouldnt be running such a high shot on my escape if I didnt have a 6lb CF bottle for the nitrous. I get about 10 8-10 sec shots. I can also easily close off one nozzle and turn down the fuel adjusters and be running a 40 shot in a matter of 1-2 mins.
