Has anyone put either RX1 or Apex exhaust covers on an RS? Are either one a bolt on or would modifications have to be made for them to fit? I like the way both of these exhaust covers look better than what is on my RS. G.B.

I was interested in the swap as well a couple years ago to get rid of the spacey winged trim. Aparently the muffler outlets are in a different position on the two sleds so the swap would require cutting the tailpipes off the Vec and reworking/relocating them.

2morestrokes, bummer! I was afraid that might be the case. Thanks, G.B.

I think you would also have to buy an Apex / RX1 rear muffler, maybe from a wrecked or parted-out sled?

That sounds like more work than I want to deal with, but might be a way it could work. Thanks! G.B.

The 07 Vector MTN SE had the Apex exhaust covers, as did the 08 Venture GT. The 2010 Vector alsp has the Apex exhaust covers so I'd say it's possible to do.

Perhaps the Vector mtn muffler or one from a newer Vector would fit from a three holer, I have no idea. However, an Apex muffler from a wrecked sled would not. Vector is single inlet pipe where the Apex is dual. fact is, the Apex covers will not work w/o some kind of modification to the sled.
You sure on the covers for the 08 Venture GT?

I've been looking into this again...you would need a '10+ muffler along with tail light swap, bezel around tail light, the exhaust covers. I'm sure there are a few more small pieces needed as well. Might be a summer project.

I just completed this mod this evening. I bought all if the parts here in the classifieds section.
I bought the muffler, tail light and rear plastics from a 2012 I believe.
I bought a set of apex covers because I couldn't find anything else, I will get new decals for the exhaust covers.
I bought all of this gear over a year ago, had planned to do it as a summer project, but decided to go at it today. All in all not a bad job, straight forward swap. Only issue I ran into was the tail light plug in, I had to make a pigtail to plug into the sled side.

That is an awesome sled right there!! Why I say that, is because I have the same sled. How much did it cost for the parts, for this mod? As I would love to have apex style exhaust covers on my sled.
