What exhaust and rail problems?

Go with the Attak. You will love the snap of the EFI.

I had an 03 RX-1 and now have an 06 Attak. Like others said, go with the Attak as the upgraded riding position and motor are awesome.

As for issues, handwarmers are the only thing but then again it is about the same on 06, 07, and 08 models.

i went from 03 rx1 to 07 attak gt night and day difference all good

You're just kidding, right?

Add broken suspension arms also.

go with the 06' attak, most of the problem's will be fixed, the 06' has the better hand warmers, all you need is the 07' harness and you'll be good to go

There is NO fix for the cracked rails, weak susp. arms, or exhaust problem. I'm trying the '06 bars w/07 harness this week in Lac StJean. It's going to be a cold week up there and we'll be putting on about 1200 miles.

I have a 05 rx-1 and bought a leftover attak a few weeks ago, I have 360 miles on the attak and love it, rider position is more my style on the attak, rx-1 is still pretty fun thou....

06 Attak

I went from a 05 Rage to a 06 Attak and love it. You will have problems with any sled, look what they go through. Put straight handlebars and vector warmers on the Attak before the end of the year. Had the shock adjuster fitting break off my mono and the front skid arm crack and break. Just replaced the exhaust donuts and all was covered by the extended warranty. Just put the pilot 5.7's (dual carbides) on and haven't ridden it yet. Also just ordered the ulmer bushing kit for the front end and will replace that asap. Just about 7000 miles and heading up to Minnesota soon to meet some friends from Manitoba that we rode with last year and show them some USA hospitality through MN, WI and MI and back.
