Ray... thanks for chiming in on the subject. The latest generation of TFI from Dobeck has the ability to add and subtract fuel. What I have learned by looking at the graphs is that there are rich areas of the curve as well as lean areas of the curve. I need the ability to add and subtract fuel for these offending areas.

Exactly Freddie, thats the worst part of the TFI's, you need the software to set your base settings leaner because you can only add fuel after that.
With the Hauck base seting (that is leaner then stk on the bottom) it's still alittle rich at low RPM with our cams and porting. We need to get the software and interface to get everything perfect.
Boondocker should have controlers soon.

Dynoray-have you had the chance to modify an '06?

If so, what have you done and what gains have you seen.

Freddie has my sled to experiment with. I leave thursday morning for some riding up north, hopefully he has done some tweaking to it so i can give him some results.

Hi Paul, yes we have been working with a few 06's. First one was 178HP with porting, our cams and an exhaust. We have the second one on the Dyno now with a slightly different exhaust cam and cam timing (made 172HP first runs without tuning and stk exhaust. We'll be testing this one with the Hauck exhaust tomorrow and will have another, with the same cams but a few other changes on the Dyno late tomorrow or Wed.
Once Freedie get's done with yours, it will rock, no need to worry about that.

Are you making these cams? I have been hoping to find aftermarket cams for the Vector engine.

You say you have a hauck exhaust and his fuel regulator,i am waiting on his fuel regulator,but i understand it only add fuel in the 3 areas low,mid and top,woodys performance has my sled now and just added haucks 3 degree key for advance w/the hauck pipe i already had on,and as i stated we are waiting on his excellerator or fuel regulator whatever he wants to call it,do you think sense you are doing some testing that the lean spot on bottom end that i get now,will be fixed with his box,and will it add some more power for the top end now w/the key plus box. Thanks Pete

those are some cam,s there ray. i got found out to day. cant even work in your own shop with out spys from the doo camp showing up. i think that they got wind some thing was up by all of the sillver fleks on my hat. ow well just have to finsh up the valve lash ajustment. hope i have enuf shims as theres not any at any yamaha shop with in 350 miles of me i phoned around today. and there cheap to at only 4.50 cdn each. ;)!

Okay...what actually arrived was a Boss Noss EFI controller, not the 100% Dobeck unit. It is manufactured for Boss Noss by Dobeck. Will install today and test most of the day. Just have 1 motorcycle to do before and only a couple of runs at that. The motorcycle won't take 15 minutes. Stay tuned! No pun intended! LOL!

Hi Nova, we are not a cam manufacturer but we have the cams made to our spec by the same company that makes all our cams for our ATV kits. Webcam.
We have a prototype set of cams that we designed at the shop but haven't had a chance to test them yet. We're expecting aroun 150HP with our cams, we made 137HP (from 118HP stk) with porting, compression and cam timing.

LOL, if you know what you need for shims we can send them to you if you are having a hard time getting them John.
PS, made 200.6HP with those cams today with stk RX-1 exhaust, had a couple of extra CC's though, our 1108cc kit.
Will be testing exhausts on it tomorrow.

Hey freddie, did it not work at all or just act up. We had one that would just go WAY rich when ever it wanted.
