any suggestion as to what type of shocks to change out on the rear of my sled. I don't really want to change out the whole skid this year, I am looking to get rid of the factory rears and put something better underneath it for this season then swap out the whole skid next year. I have put new shocks on the front, Modified the engine, intake air filters and added 4 inches to the seat. I just don't like the way the rear shocks come back to zero. Any help would be awesome

If you get your shocks rebuilt and revalved you'll probably get the most bang for your buck. I have Ohlins on my Viper and they made a significant improvement. BUT, for the same money I could have purchased a Polaris skid that would have outperformed my Proaction. I currently ride an Attak and have gone the aftermarket rooute with an ExpertX skid. More durable and was able to set my sled up for 144 with no issues. Good luck with whatever you decide

olins are a bit much if you are swaping out next season. the re-valve should be the cheapest way to go unless you want to do the skid this season.
The cheapest way to go is to just buy an 05 or up mono shock and put it in. The swap is easy and takes several hours if your not changing the track. You can find them for under $200 and about $125 for the mounting plates. The rivets in the tunnel match up to the holes so there is no calculating - just drill out the ones in the way and rivet in the plates and bolt her in.

Where are you finding a monoshock suspension for $200. I was looking at just a new spring for my rear shock on my '04 Warrior and it is $199 + shipping.
I've got almost 7Kmiles on my sled and am not looking to replace it. I would like some more rear support though.
Thanks.
Hay days was just last week and I looked at more than 5 for under $200. I bought one at a swap meet last yr for $150. I know there are a few sleds being parted out here on the classifieds and I saw a mono out of an 06 apex for $200.
