SOLVED :-)
I just finished rebuilding my RX1 changing broken rivets and installing an M10 skid and under glow LED lights. Unfortunately after all that hard work, it does not even budge when I put the key in. It's like the CDI was dead in it. Battery is fully charged. I checked all the fusses. I tested the main solenoid as shown in the service manual and the engine turned over but with no spark on the plug's. Key was on and kill switch is pulled. Test light shows power on both side's of the third and forth fuse's in the box near the chain case. What else could I have missed. How can I test the CDI to make certain it's not the problem? Is the CDI sensitive to water when it's not connected to the plug on the harness. The connecters are all cleen and not corroded. Thanks for any help.

Wow .. 100$/h to find out what I missed when plugging everything back in. I think I will go over all the wires one more time before I pitch the towel but what a frustrating thing to happen.

Just guessing but it almost sounds like kill switch is faulty or the ignition switch is faulty. That is where I would start! Good luck I hate electrical gremlins!

Just curious, in the picture of your fuse box, you are missing three fuses. Two are spares, but the fifth fuse from the right is a 15 amp ignition fuse. Also 30 amp main fuse is beside the battery.

I didn't even check that. I check to see if they were good and assumed that the missing ones were spare. I will most definitely be checking that when I get home.

OK Strike that out. I just checked the service manual and all fusses are accounted for. :( As for the 2 fusses that are present, They have power on both sides of the fuse so they are good.

I checked both out with a multimeter and both worked fine.

I had to change the wire harness since some wires were broken in the breakout lead to the ignition switch. Got it for 25 $ local on Kijiji.
