I am currently in the process of converting my 03 RX1 shorty to a 136 Warrior. I know a lot of guys gear down one tooth on the top gear. The RX1 stock top gear is 24 tooth. 23 for the stock Warrior. My question is, should I just go directly to a 22 tooth to gear down one tooth for the converted 121 track to 136? Is the stock chain length ok? Also, how will my stock primary clutch weights and spring, and secondary spring /helix react to the new track length and gearing? Any suggestions? Thanks. Jeff.

These sleds respond well to gearing down. If I were you, I would go with a 22 top gear but will have to buy a 68 link chain. You will still have a 110+ MPH machine with this set up. I can't give advice on the clutching other than the WOT RPM should max out at 10,500. If you are not getting close to this then your engine is not putting out its full HP.
