I have an 04 rx1 warrior always started well in cold or warm and once running would smooth out and then go into a higher idle till warm and temp light stopped flashing then idle would slow and be fine. This year seems to be starting harder and will not high idle actually have to hold throttle until the sled is warm or it just stumbles and shuts off. Changed fuel filters, cleaned tank, changed all fuel lines, and have cleaned carbs several times. Also changed plug, cleaned and checked all coils. Temp sensor seems to be working fine as light has come on when driving in marginal snow conditions. Looking for ideas cause i am not sure what to try next. Sled starts, idles and runs excellent once warm.

Had same sled up to 14k miles. Great sled. Had very similar issues. Very similar.

Turned out to be valves were out of adjustment. Woodys in topsham did it up and the thing ran better than new.

Might want to do a leak down test to confirm.

you will have to measure clearence then see what shim in there then do math and order right ones. How many miles on sled.I have only seen valves out bad on one sled that overheated but tight valves could case this.Verify choke linkege is working properly also ive seen people get screwing with carbs turning wrong screws and ive had to balance carbs also

Choke cable all working properly. I need to know what shim kit to buy. I have a few kits now just want to know if i got the right ones before i tear into it. I meant size around not size thickness to put in
