Just curious if there are any tricks to the windshields on these things, I cracked the trim piece and pushed the windhield out of place while also cracking the corner of the "plastic pod" on the corners of the windshield. (I guess these heavy Rx1's don't like to be track side up ) I was riding down a snow covered road right after that racing a couple sleds and has soon as the dream meter hit 118 I felt like I was getting torn off the sled, looked back up and the windshiled was folded flat because of a gap which created a vacume and sucked it down. I havn't had it out of the trailer yet, but I will be working on it tomorrow and I was wondering if there were any secrets to getting the windshield off so I can straighten everything back out. Riding a lake this weekend and need the gap gone, a few Polaris riders are running their mouth. (1999 XC 700 twin and 1998 XCR 600 triple) I already beat the 99' across a lake 3 times haha. Any tips are greatly appreciated!
remove the 2 plastic side pieces on the dash, then the mask over the windsheild, then the screws holding it on. and you are right, they dont like running upside down.
I got it off and back in place today, one side piece on the dash is cracked and I broke a screw that holds the windshield on, replaced that and it looks almost like it did before. Thanks for your reply though.
